Lucy’s and Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles

Originally, I wanted to give it 4 stars. Thinking about it now, it deserves 5 stars. I give it 5 stars for several reasons:

1. 24 hours
2. On a street corner
3. hot piping food
4. Next to a bus stop
5. Super huge sign
6. Tamales

It’s not the greatest first date place, or an anniversary spot, but you can certainly come here when you’re hungry at 3 in the morning, when nothing is open. It’s homey. Great energy. Even though the lady at the counter can get kinda crazy, I love seeing the cooks in the kitchen banging away. The drive thru seems to always be busy. Drive thru mexican food? It can’t get any better than that.

If you’re still hungry after a round of tacos, chips and beans, head across the street to Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles and have yourself some death and gravy.
